No safe limit campaign tour

To launch our new No Safe Limit campaign – which calls for sales restrictions on processed red meat due to its link to bowel cancer – Animal Aid is taking to the road to visit six towns and cities across the UK that are black-spots for the disease.

Despite the link between eating processed red meat and an increased risk of bowel cancer being firmly established, little has been done to educate the public about the danger. So, in each location on our tour, all of which have amongst the highest incidence rates of bowel cancer in the UK, we will be distributing information about our campaign, showing the short film below, and encouraging people to ditch processed red meat in favour of plant-based foods that have been proven to lower the risk of bowel cancer.

For the six days of our tour, the Animal Aid Battle Bus will be stopping off at:

  • Gateshead – 23rd September
  • Edinburgh – 24th September
  • Glasgow – 25th September
  • Lanark – 26th September
  • Dumfries – 27th September
  • Liverpool – 28th September
