New Vegan Releases – April 2019!

Posted on the 3rd May 2019

Just in time for the Summer Vegan Pledge; here are some of our favourite new vegan products that were released in April 2019!

  1) Waitrose vegan range goes large!

Waitrose has, in recent times, been one of the best supermarkets for exciting vegan options. Adding to their already huge range, Waitrose has just launched a number of exciting, BBQ-friendly, vegan products. This includes seitan patties, kofta kebabs, leek and mushroom sausages, as well as vegan sausage ‘whirls’. Other releases include vegan green pesto, sausage rolls, pasties and amazing creamy onion and chive rolls.

2) Pizza Express launches vegan house dressing

Pizza Express – one of the first pizza chains in the UK to offer vegan options – has now released a vegan version of their famous House Light Dressing. It is flavoursome, creamy and full of herbs, making it the perfect addition to any meal. The Vegan House Light Dressing is now available at Asda.

3) Subway finally introduces vegan options

Subway is the UK largest High Street fast food chain, and yet until recently the only vegan option you could get there was a salad roll. Now Subway has introduced their Vegan Patty which is absolutely delicious; as well as this, they now have vegan garlic aioli. Vegan options are continuing to grow at some of the UK’s best-known eateries and chains!

4) M&S Plant Kitchen range has expanded

The Plant Kitchen range at Marks & Spencer took the UK by storm when it was launched back in December last year. The new range also features a clear ‘vegan’ logo, following Animal Aid’s #MarkItVegan campaign. New products include ‘mozzarella’ sticks, mac bites, churros, chocolate mousse and more!

5) Tesco launches a vegan sausage roll

In light of the success of the Gregg’s vegan sausage roll, Tesco has launched its own, ready-to-eat sausage roll. And at 75p it is affordable and delicious is equal measure!

It has never been easier to go vegan, with new products launching seemingly on a daily basis. Why not try it for yourself?
