Martha the Cow takes to the streets for World Plant Milk Day!

Posted on the 23rd August 2019

As part of World Plant Milk Day yesterday (22 August), Animal Aid were joined by Martha the Cow to hand out free vegan ice-cream samples to members of the public.

Martha – who is in fact a giant inflatable cow – and Animal Aid collaborated with local vegan restaurant Vegan Express, which is based on Garret Lane, to hand out samples from Vegan Express’s new vegan ice-cream bar, which features more than 20 flavours of ice-cream, all of which are 100% vegan.

The day was a huge success with many people commenting on how delicious the vegan ice-cream was. We also handed out our ‘This Little Calf…’ leaflets, which highlight the cruelty of the dairy industry.

Thank you to the people of Tooting who were so welcoming and open-minded, and to Vegan Express for providing the delicious vegan ice-cream!
