Future of Science Student Conference

Posted on the 24th October 2023

Our second annual Future of Science student conference was even more engaging and inspiring than the first!

After the tremendous success of last year’s inaugural event, we had another impressive line-up of speakers, hands-on workshops, and networking opportunities to motivate and empower the next generation of scientists. From keynotes by ground-breaking researchers to panels on pursuing diverse STEM careers, this conference showcased the many ways students can make an impact through animal-free science.

Those who joined us had an experience that charged their passion for discovery and invention. The momentum has been kept going as we continue bringing hope to future scientists everywhere! This not only saves animals from being harmed in cruel and unreliable experiments but also helps to future-proof scientific careers.

What the students said:

Here’s some feedback we received from one of the teachers on the day:

I just wanted to say a massive thank you for today. Even as a teacher I feel invigorated after a day of learning and listening to scientists. I was surprised by how much I learned today, and the day flew by. All the speakers were knowledgeable and personable so were easy and enjoyable to listen to. The students very-much enjoyed the up-to-date science information without it being watered down for them. I hope there are more events like this and that we can come along again. Thanks to all involved in the organisation and participation of the day.”

We want to say a huge thank you to our wonderful speakers and workshop hosts; Dr Carol Treasure, Dr Chloe Raffalli, Professor Amanda Ellison, Rebecca Ram, and Dr Lindsay Marshall.
