Fabulous launch for the Vegan Festival of Britain at Bristol VegfestUK

Posted on the 22nd May 2017

Animal Aid’s 40th anniversary celebration – The Vegan Festival of Britain – got off to a spectacular start at Bristol Vegfest at the weekend, when Kerry McCarthy, the UK’s first vegan MP, cut the giant birthday cake created for us  for us by Veggies UK and sponsored by Natural Balance Foods (the Nak’d bar people!). 1500 pieces were later distributed to the Bristol public, with several requests for recipes! Our thanks to Veggies, Natural Balance Foods, VegfestUK Bristol (for hosting the event) and to the volunteers who helped on the day.

Thanks also to everyone else who organised events on the opening weekend of the Vegan Festival of Britain (VFOB).

There are many  fairs, demonstrations, stalls and much more coming up over the next three weeks. For a full list of events, visit the VFOB website.
