‘End Animal Tests’ week of action announced

Posted on the 18th April 2024

To support World Day for Animals in Laboratories on 24th April, we are organising the ‘End Animal Tests’ week of action which runs from Saturday 20th until Sunday 28th April.

Across the country, many local animal rights groups and dedicated animal activists will be taking to the streets to raise awareness of animal experiments and why they should be consigned to history.

Armed with our ‘Mice Matter’ and ‘LD50’ leaflets, the groups will be explaining to the public how animal experiments are not only cruel, but also unreliable. We’ve also designed some eye-catching posters with a QR code which people can scan on their ‘phones to go straight to an email designed for them to send to their MP. The email  urges MPs, and their political parties, to support our two simple ‘asks’:

  • Existing funding, resources and expertise should be diverted away from animal experiments and used to significantly increase the development and promotion of non-animal methodologies.
  • A timetabled roadmap to urgently end all animal experiments, starting with an immediate ban on all research which is not legally required or where non-animal methodologies already exist.
Contact your MP and ask them to support our call
