Costa Coffee is perhaps the only major coffee chain not to offer a vegan lunch option.
Demand for vegan products is rising rapidly in the UK as increasing numbers of people adopt a plant-based diet as a way of avoiding animal suffering, reducing their environmental impact and improving their health.
Costa already offers a few delicious vegan items – including its new Paradise Slice – and also has coconut and soya milk as dairy alternatives in drinks. Yet it does not seem to have any vegan sandwiches, wraps, or indeed ANY vegan lunch option at all. The only hot and savoury vegan option is a tomato and basil soup.
The short answer is no - especially not in the name of animal rights.
