Exeter Castle is to host Animal Aid’s spectacular grand finale to The Vegan Festival of Britain on Saturday 10 June. The Compassion @the Castle summer vegan fair is jointly organised by Animal Aid and Exeter Friends for Animals and has been planned as a vegan alternative to a traditional English summer fair, with dairy-free ice creams, hot dogs, burgers, pies, cream teas, cakes and freshly pressed juices all available - alongside more exotic dishes from Africa, Asia and India.
Daytime activities will centre upon a vegan market featuring more than 40 ethical traders and compassionate charities, plus a free food tasting table and a marquee for talks and demonstrations about vegan living. In the early evening (6 pm), the focus shifts to barbecued food, with live music and a real ale bar selling a Vegan Festival of Britain ale, specially brewed for the occasion.
Entry to the whole event is FREE!
