Good news! Plans for horrific factory farm rejected

Posted on the 16th August 2018

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took the time to speak out against a new factory farm for chickens in Rufforth, near York. Your actions have helped secure a significant victory for these gentle creatures.

Councillors voted today (16 August) to reject plans for the farm, which could have imprisoned up to 144,000 birds at any one time.

We would also like to thank the tireless local campaigners who worked so hard to demonstrate the strength of opposition to these plans.

We understand that the decision is likely to be appealed, but we will continue doing everything possible to stop this farm from going ahead.

Help chickens by giving veganism a try!
