Animal Aid launch a new campaign which calls for a ban on snares

A snare is a thin, wire noose. They are ‘set’ by people, with the aim that they will catch certain animals – foxes and rabbits – by the leg or the neck. The animals are then held in place before they are killed by the person who set the snare.
Snares can cause immense suffering, severe injuries and even death to wildlife such as foxes, badgers and rabbits, as well as domestic animals such as dogs and cats.
