Posted 13 November 2013

An article in the Wall Street Journal details the campaign to protect the feral population of monk parakeets living in the UK. The government has spent £192,000 trying to capture and kill the birds, whose numbers were thought to be no more than 87. Animal Aid works with local campaigners to protect these birds and lobbies for an end to their persecution.
