Animal Aid's Christmas Fayre 2010
Posted 10 November 2010
We have a real treat in store this year at our Kensington Fayre on Sunday 5th December. Rock guitar legend and anti-hunt campaigner, Brian May, will be speaking at 2pm on ‘Man as a wild animal’. This will be particularly relevant due to the current hunting debate and re-proposed badger cull in both England and Wales. Heather Mills will be signing her new book, LoveBites, from 11am-1pm. The comedian, Andrew O’Neil, will also be joining us and will perform an amusing set to lighten the proceedings, and there will be further talks by John Bryant, the Monkey Sanctuary, and our own Director, Andrew Tyler, plus the ever-popular Push-ups Competition.
In addition, there will be more than 85 stands promoting ethical living and cruelty-free products – representing campaigning groups, animal sanctuaries, ethical companies and food outlets. Everything on sale will, of course, be vegan and non-animal tested, so it’s the ideal venue to stock up on all your Christmas gifts and have an informative and fun day out at the same time. Catch up with friends in one of our vegan cafes, listen to inspiring talks by our guest speakers, take part in our ever popular Press ups competition, or just shop 'tll you drop! Check out all the latest animal-friendly products and don’t forget to stock up on your supply of Christmas chocolates! Then for children there will be a special workshop and face painting for them to enjoy and a crèche to leave you free for an hour or so. Whatever, you do, you can be sure of meeting like-minded people in a congenial atmosphere. This is the event of the year, so don’t miss it!
Unfortunately, Vegetarian Shoes will not be having their stall.
Kensington Town Hall, Hornton Street, London, W8. 10am - 5pm
Entry £2, under 11s free
Brian May Lecture
Please note that there is limited access to the talk by Brian May and consequently, we cannot guarantee admission.
Brian should be available to talk about his Save Me badger campaign following his lecture.
