Where : Kensington Town Hall, London W8
When : Sunday 5 December 2004
Opening hours : 10am-5pm

Animal Aid's 'Christmas without Cruelty Fayre' will see animal charities, ethical traders, campaign groups, musicians and performers gathering together to celebrate and promote a compassionate Christmas. A range of delicious vegetarian food will be available to sample and live music acts will perform throughout the day.
More than 70 stands will be offering a wide assortment of cruelty-free gifts, clothes and food. Magicians, contortionists and face-painters will entertain the kids, while exciting items will be up for grabs in the celebrity auction - including a hand-drawn t-shirt from Joanna Lumley, signed books and photos from Alan Bennett, Terry Pratchett and Martin Clunes, and, for football fans, a signed Aston Villa Shirt.
Celebrate Christmas in cruelty-free style this year. For shopping ideas, veggie recipes and lots more see the Christmas index.
"Being an ethical consumer doesn't mean you have to miss out!" says event organiser, Mary Shephard. "There's something for everyone at the Christmas without Cruelty Fayre - and what better excuse do you need to spend, spend, spend, with the knowledge that all your money is going to save animals and support good causes."
