Animal Aid’s four-minute film, Where does my milk come from?, describes the life and premature slaughter of dairy cows and their waste ‘by-product’ calves. It also traces the history of modern dairy farming, looks at milk-related health issues and sets out a range of attractive dairy-free alternative products.
Some of the most evocative footage in the film was taken at Hugletts Wood Farm Animal Sanctuary, which is currently appealing for funds after a huge increase in the cost of feed plus their old tractor breaking down irreparably. Please consider making a donation to help this sanctuary:
