Urgent action needed to stop new vivisection breeding unit!

Posted 18 October 2013

We have less than a week to stop a facility from being built that would breed dogs and ferrets to be used in animal experiments. Last year, campaigners stopped a similar application from being accepted, but a scaled-down version has now been submitted to East Riding of Yorkshire Council for a unit to be built on the same site.

Please sign the petition and send a letter to the council’s planning department objecting to the application. The petition has already collected more than 20,000 signatures but still needs more to reach its target. If you haven’t already done so,please sign now!

If you live locally, you could also join the demonstration taking place in Hull tomorrow (October 19) against the use of animals in experiments. The protest will start at noon in Queen Victoria Square (HU1 3RQ).

Time is also running out for the Stop Vivisection petition, as this only has 13 days left to reach its goal of one million signatures and give us the opportunity to call for a new European directive that would end experiments on animals in the EU. Please sign now if you haven’t already done so.
