Saturday 9 August: Ramble Against Bloodsports on Ilkley Moor

Meet at 11am at Cow & Calf Rocks, Hangingstone Road, Ilkley, LS29 8BT. Take part in a peaceful ramble and picnic on Ilkley Moor to protest against this public space being used for grouse shooting. Sunday 10 August: The Big Kent Vegan Potluck Picnic

From 12noon in Mote Park, Maidstone, Kent. Bring a plant-based dish to eat and share with other vegans in the beautiful setting of Mote Park. It's the perfect opportunity to meet like-minded local people and try new and delicious vegan food. For more details visit the Facebook event page.

Saturday 16 August: March against the badger cull, Colchester

Saturday 6 September: Worcester Cruelty Free Summer Fair

10.30am–4pm at Worcester Guildhall, High Street, Worcester, WR1 2EY. Free entry. There will be a range of stalls, free vegan food samples, workshops and a tombola. For further details please visit the Worcester Vegans and Veggies Facebook page.

Saturday 13 September: Northern Vegan Festival, Blackpool

11am – 6pm at Empress Ballroom, Winter Gardens, 97 Church Street, Blackpool FY1 1HU. Entry £2 (under 12s free). There'll be more than 150 stalls, a vegan café, films, talks from experts, cookery demos, childrens’ activities, vegan speed meeting and much more. Co-located with the LABL Fair Blackpool and a free 100+ stall Handmade and Vintage Craft Fair. For further details visit the event website.

Saturday 27 – Sunday 28 September: London Vegfest

Held at Kensington Olympia West Halls, Hammersmith Road, Kensington, London W14 8UX from 11am to 6pm. Over 200 stalls packed with plant-based products, samples and special discounts, alongside talks, cookery demos, workshops, films, together with book signings, live performances and kids entertainment. £10 entry, £6 concessions, under 16s free. October

Saturday 4 October: Live a Better Life, Edinburgh

LABL Fair is Edinburgh's new multi theme ethical and healthy living event at Edinburgh Corn Exchange, 11 Newmarket Road, Edinburgh EH14 1RJ. Helping you to Live A Better Life, with 120 stalls offering everything from food to natural beauty and healthy living to fairtrade clothes. Plus cookery demonstrations, film screenings, talks and a free prize draw will add to the entertainment. Entry £1. Find out more.

Saturday 25 October: West Midlands Vegan Festival

From 10am-6pm, held at Wolves Civic Hall, North St, Wolverhampton, WV1 1RQ. Admission is just £1 (free for under 16s) and there will be stalls, talks, cookery demos, children’s activities and much more! November

Saturday 2 November: North East Vegan Festival, Sunderland

Showcases vegan food, campaign organisations, shoes, crafts, toiletries, and more. The Festival will welcome vegans, vegetarians and omnivores. There will be vegan bands playing on the Sunday in the day. Admission is £1. Stadium of Light, Millenium Way, Sunderland, SR5 1SU from 10am to 6pm. Saturday 29 November: Viva!'s Incredible Vegan Christmas, Bristol

At Bristol City Hall, College Green, Bristol BS1 5TR from 10:30am to 4pm. A celebration of all things vegan; campaigns, merchandise and resources from Viva! with free food tastings, cookery demonstrations and talks.
