Saturday 12 July: Animal Aid’s Walk for the Animals
Please join us on Hampstead Heath in London for our annual sponsored walk. Email Mark Phillips or call 01732 364546 ext 223 for information, registration and sponsorship forms. This year our sponsor dog is Betty the beagle, who was rescued from a UK contract animal testing facility. If you can't come along for the walk, you can contact Mark for a sponsorship form for Betty or sponsor her online. Thank you for your support!
Friday 25 – Sunday 27 July: Snowdon Vegan Weekend
Join the Vegan Organic Network for a sponsored walk to the summit of Snowdon to raise funds for their work and for Sea Shepherd. Accomodation and vegan food will be available at the nearby Pen-Y-Pass YHA, but it is advised you book early to avoid disappointment. For more details, visit the Snowdon Vegan Weekend website.
Saturday 26 – Sunday 27 July: Greyhound Remembrance Weekend
The first commercial greyhound races were held on 24 July 1926 at Belle Vue, Manchester. Every year over the weekend nearest to 24 July events are held in memory of the hundreds of thousands of greyhounds that have suffered and died at the hands of the British greyhound racing industry. If you would like to hold an event this weekend, contact Action for Greyhounds for materials and information.

Saturday 9 August: Ramble Against Bloodsports on Ilkley Moor
Meet at 11am at Cow & Calf Rocks, Hangingstone Road, Ilkley, LS29 8BT. Take part in a peaceful ramble and picnic on Ilkley Moor to protest against this public space being used for grouse shooting. Sunday 10 August: The Big Kent Vegan Potluck Picnic
From 12noon in Mote Park, Maidstone, Kent. Bring a plant-based dish to eat and share with other vegans in the beautiful setting of Mote Park. It's the perfect opportunity to meet like-minded local people and try new and delicious vegan food. For more details visit the Facebook event page.

Saturday 6 September: Worcester Cruelty Free Summer Fair

Saturday 13 September: Northern Vegan Festival, Blackpool
11am – 6pm at Empress Ballroom, Winter Gardens, 97 Church Street, Blackpool FY1 1HU. Entry £2 (under 12s free). There'll be more than 150 stalls, a vegan café, films, talks from experts, cookery demos, childrens’ activities, vegan speed meeting and much more. Held at Kensington Olympia West Halls, Hammersmith Road, Kensington, London W14 8UX from 11am to 6pm. Over 200 stalls packed with plant-based products, samples and special discounts, alongside talks, cookery demos, workshops, films, together with book signings, live performances and kids entertainment. £10 entry, £6 concessions, under 16s free. Saturday 4 October: Live a Better Life, Edinburgh
LABL Fair is Edinburgh's new multi theme ethical and healthy living event at Edinburgh Corn Exchange, 11 Newmarket Road, Edinburgh EH14 1RJ. Helping you to Live A Better Life, with 120 stalls offering everything from food to natural beauty and healthy living to fairtrade clothes. Saturday 2 November: North East Vegan Festival, Sunderland
Showcases vegan food, campaign organisations, shoes, crafts, toiletries, and more. The Festival will welcome vegans, vegetarians and omnivores. Saturday 29 November: Viva!'s Incredible Vegan Christmas, Bristol
At Bristol City Hall, College Green, Bristol BS1 5TR from 10:30am to 4pm. A celebration of all things vegan; campaigns, merchandise and resources from Viva! with free food tastings, cookery demonstrations and talks.
